Development of an accreditation methodology for informal learning in the workplace

Aims

  • To review work recently carried out by CEDEFOP and the European Commission’s Expert Working Group on non-formal learning to ascertain any references to informal learning accreditation
  • Development of a methodology which seeks to add value to any current initiatives and to increase transparency
  • To develop a transferable methodology for the accreditation of the informal learning potentially in the five CEDFOP cultural areas and in an accession state (Latvia) whilst still ensuring subsidiarity.

WP Tasks

  • Desk research into recent European developments in this field
  • Collation of current practice in all five Cedefop cultural areas
  • Identification of common validation principles in line with any pan-EU developments
  • Development of a methodology for validation
  • Evaluate the pilots in Work packages 5 and 6
  • Review the reliability and validity of the process
